Rubber Sheet Roll, LLC, which manufactures and distributes rubber sheets and rubber rolls, introduces Rubber Sealing Strips for distribution. Neoprene rubber is a popular multipurpose synthetic rubber which has a wide range of both industrial and consumer applications. Rubber weather strips are very resistant to the elements and are useful for both indoor and outdoor functions, the company says.
Neoprene strips are available in an assortment of different lengths, widths and thicknesses. Rubber stripping does not absorb water or oils and because of their flexibility, they can fit in to complex angles and corners and act as a sealant. Also available is a peel and stick adhesive backing, which can stick onto metal, wood, plastic, and other surfaces. The most common applications for outside use include weather stripping, garage doors and marine equipment sealing rubber. For inside use, common applications include engine compartment rubber seal strips, general purpose mechanical rubber stripping and underneath bottom plates.
Neoprene rubber weatherstrips are used where abrasion can be prominent and the rubber has to hold up under repeated uses of abuse. Rubber seals maintain their strength, flexibility, twisting and elongation very well over a wide temperature range while possessing outstanding physical toughness. A range of neoprene grades are available, each used for specific applications, the company adds.
