Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products, a manufacturer of engineering plastics in stock shapes for machining, has introduced additional standard colors to its Radel PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) Life Science Grade (LSG) portfolio.
All Quadrant Radel PPSU LSG stock shapes are certified biocompatible according to ISO 10993, giving designers the confidence that their finished products will successfully past testing whilst at the same time allowing for faster product development at reduced costs.
In addition, Quadrant offers lot traceability of its LSG stock shapes – rods, sheets, and tubes – while traceability is typically available only for raw materials and guarantees consistency in formulations.
Standard colors available now include black, natural (off-white), blue, green yellow, gray, brown, rust-colored and red, whilst custom colors can be produced on request.
Quadrant Radel PPSU LSG stock shapes are available globally as rods and sheets in various sizes, allowing manufacturers to optimize yield with minimized waste. Quadrant’s engineering and service capabilities also include design and production of finished parts.
Typical applications for colored Radel PPSU include orthopaedic trial implants, instrument handles, ferrules for endoscopic instruments, radiation therapy and brachytherapy apparatus components, sterilisation trays, trays for trauma products, biotechnology and laboratory equipment, analytical and diagnostic equipment components.
