PolyOne Corporation recently released the Color Inspiration 2014, a collection of six color palettes that deliver insights about global color experiences looking ahead to 2014. The palettes were developed to enable creative minds to consider color at the earliest stages of their development process, and inspire them as they seek to incorporate emerging color direction into their designs, notes the US chemicals company.
Developed from the insights of design, fashion and global megatrend experts, the six color palettes include:
- The Blue Movement: Celebrates the precious role of water in our lives, and heralds blue as the “new green”
- Solid Foundation: Highlights the desire for stability in a world of constant change
- Global Citizen: Borrows heavily from diverse influences found in dynamic, emerging parts of the world
- Lay of the Land: Conveys a hands-on feel that stems from the use of nature in design
- Heightened Sense: Brings to life the wonder and possibility of design that blends technology, fantasy and reality
- Well People: Inspires a connection to health and vitality
