Maliev Releases Desktop Pneumatic Injection Molding Machine

Maliev, seemingly a relative newcomer to the manufacturing game, has released a desktop – and very aptly named – Pneumatic Injection Molding Machine.

Thailand-based Maliev’s products heavily focus on the injection molding space. The Pneumatic Injection Molding Machine is obviously no exception. It boasts an injection force of 8,590 N at 0.7 Mpa, and is compatible with a variety of plastic pellets, including ABS, PP, and HDPE.

The machine can operate at temperatures up to 300 °C, and leverages an M10 grid plate for mounting molds, which can be up to 240 x 150 mm in size.

While the machine probably shouldn’t be a go-to choice for professional (much less industrial) applications, Maliev instead highlights small businesses, educators, and hobbyists looking to create small batches of highly repeatable products or parts. Here, think prototypes, custom enclosures, or miniature models.

All told, we’re looking at a consumer-grade machine that seems comparable to other offerings out there in terms of features and price – although for a deeper dive into the niche, we’d suggest you check out our list of top picks on the market.

The Pneumatic Injection Molding Machine retails 103,400 Thai baht (about $3,000) – although it’s currently on sale for ฿88,000 (about $2,600). A package that includes the machine and an air compressor will cost an extra ฿8,250 (about $250).
