A 4-year-old boy in Kerala underwent a plastic surgery after he was bitten by a stray dog on Wednesday.
His mother Suja, who came to his rescue, was also bitten.The incident took place when Alan B was playing outside his home in Ezhukone in Kollam in the morning. Allan was bitten on his lips and chin, following which he was taken to a local government hospital.
“The dog bit my hand when I pulled it away from my son. I had to kick it. It bit my ankle too,” Suja told media.
Allan underwent a plastic surgery and is likely to be discharged today.
The recent spate of incidents of attacks by stray dogs has left the people worried. People are now demanding culling of dangerous dogs.
However, each time the issue surfaces, activists and locals square up against one another.
Meanwhile, the government has come under criticisms by both parties for failing to take considerable measures against the menace.
