Niederlenz, Switzerland (April 18, 2013) – For the first time in Asia K-Tron and Coperion present their product portfolio on a joint booth as they are now both members of Hillenbrand’s Process Equipment Group.
K-Tron provides single source engineered systems for a wide range of feeding and pneumatic conveying applications in the polyolefin production, engineered resin compounding and plastics extrusion industry. Applications include the entire material handling and feeding systems that are used to control ingredients being fed into Coperion Extruders. In hall 5.1, booth K01, K-Tron will feature examples of loaders or receivers that are ideal for many applications, such as hopper loading, refilling loss-in-weight feeders and transfer of bulk materials in the plastics industry.
All units can be equipped with a variety of discharge valve types including gravity flap, orifice slide gate and butterfly valves. Also on display will be two K-Tron feeders that specialize in the high accuracy feeding of difficult powders or free flowing granular ingredients in a batch or continuous process. K-Tron Loss-in-Weight feeders can also be used for controlling the feed of liquid additives such as peroxides, anti-oxidants etc.
One of the highlights in the booth will be K-Tron’s Bulk Solids Pump (BSP 150), specifically designed and engineered to provide gentle, precise feeding of free-flowing pellets, granules, and friable products. Also featured will be a Bag Dump Station. It is designed to ensure a clean, dust-controlled environment while making it easy to unload material received in bags.
