At the Erema Discovery Days 2012, the recycling technology supplier officially opened a new customer center at its headquarters in Ansfelden, Linz, Austria. Erema also launched its new Corema technology that combines the recycling and compounding process in one system.
About 400 guests from around the world attended the event, held from June 20-22. They witnessed the demonstrations of seven modern plastic recycling systems in the new 5 million euros customer center that has a floor space of 1,200sqm. Erema says these seven systems will be available for customers to carry out test runs for their own materials.
Along with the new customer center, the company also introduced its new Corema technology, which combines the recycling and compounding processes in one system for the first time. As explained, inexpensive raw recycling material is turned into filter melt using robust Erema technology which then goes directly to the co-rotating twin-screw extruder from Coperion. The desired fillers can be admixed in doses that are higher than those previously possible with Erema recycling systems, resulting in customized plastic compounds for high quality applications.
