Eagle Manufacturing in the US has installed a new dual accumulator head machine from Davis-Standard, LLC to boost its blow molding capacity for large plastic drums and protective products. “We continue to invest in Davis-Standard technology because it works for us,” said Joe Eddy, President and CEO of Eagle Manufacturing. “Our technicians, mechanics and operators appreciate the equipment performance, and Davis-Standard’s service has been readily available. We look forward to growing capacity for our industrial safety product markets, which have remained stable throughout the recession.”

As introduced, the new Davis-Standard machine features dual 40 pound accumulator heads with a 165mm AC vector extruder drive along with a 250 ton clear-platen clamp. The large clamp assembly is necessary for producing Eagle’s line of spill containers/drums. These are available in 20, 30, 65 and 95 gallon sizes and constructed of chemical resistant high density PE.

Other parts to be manufactured on the new Davis-Standard machine include barricades, column protectors, corner and wall protectors, poly ramps and dock plates, and machine guards. “We are unique because we only sell products made here at Eagle, which are manufactured using a local labor force and domestically-produced raw materials,” added Eddy. “We are a one-stop shop within the industry, taking products from concept, to design, to testing and market-ready.”
