The IoT gateway from Reifenhäuser enables new and old lines – either constructed in-house or from other manufacturers – and subsequent equipment to be connected to Reifenhäuser’s digital software solutions. For example, the performance cockpit delivers personalized data and indicators that are crucial for optimizing processes.

Reifenhäuser’s strengths include the extensive knowledge and experience of its 1,600 extrusion specialists around the world, which feeds into the software and hardware of the system’s individual modules. As Brenken says: “Reifenhäuser has a wide range of line types, control systems, and protocols that we can cater to. “We don’t see digitalization as a trending topic, but as a logical next step in devleopment,” added Brenken. “Working with our customers, we have
developed what was initially a pilot at K 2016 into tried and tested solutions.”
