BLOW MOLDING: Economical, Compact Shuttles And Suction Blow Machin

Redesigned shuttle machines standardized for economy and quick delivery

At last month’s Chinaplas show in Shanghai, the German parent of Kautex Machines, Inc., N. Branch, N.J., announced the third generation of its KCC series shuttle machines, which it describes as “a complete relaunch” and redesign with new and upgraded technical features. They process 50 ml bottles up to 30 liter canisters and can run up to 2 x 12 cavities.

Besides a new look (photo), the new generation is even more compact, with improved accessibility for servicing. Molds can now be changed from the side and products are discharged from the rear. Greater use of standard modules and components has reduced investment cost and shortened delivery times. The new models will rolled out gradually until the entire line is switched over.

Also introduced at Chinaplas was a new KSB suction blow machine for production of 3D parts with low trim scrap. It comes with a BC5 controller, takes up almost 50% less space than previous equipment, and offers reduced cost.
