At last year’s CHINAPLAS battenfeld-cincinnati presented itself for the first time after forming the new brand. Now, one year later, the group showcases the results of its joint R&D efforts at the Chinaplas 2011.
battenfeld-cincinnati (Foshan) Extrusion Systems Ltd, Chinese subsidiary of the battenfeld-cincinnati group of companies, will feature their latest single and twin screw extruder generations in Hall 1.1., booth E61.
According to the machine manufacturer, the BCC 1-60-30G single screw extruder has been designed for PO pipe extrusion. It is robust and has a wide processing range despite its small footprint. With an AC drive and a bi-metallic air-cooled barrel it is highly energy-efficient. The screws are coated with a special hard alloy for longer lifetime and there are a variety of geometries to choose from according to the application’s requirements. Outputs of 350kg/h can be reached in HDPE pipe extrusion.
In addition, the BCC 1-60-30G features a BMC-Touch control system produced by Austrian B&R Industrial, Inc. It offers temperature control in modular design with a 15″ TFT VGA color display for overview over all process parameters for synchronization between extruder and downstream equipment. The operation interface is available in Chinese and English.
The BCC 2-72 conical twin screw extruder succeeds the BCC titan line. It is suited for producing uPVC pipe and window profile and, as the most compact extruder in its output range, it is also suited for co-extrusion tasks.
battenfeld-cincinnati says the BCC 2-72’s screw geometries have been further optimized, so that even shear-sensitive materials can be processed with excellent results. Nitrided barrels and screws coated with molybdenum are highly wear-resistant for a longer lifetime. Energy-efficiency is ensured by the powerful, self-regulating and maintenance-free screw core tempering system Intracool as well as the maintenance-free apc air power cooling of the barrel and the AC motor.
The BCC 2-72 is flexible, with a wide range of outputs (up to 500kg/h for pipes and 270kg/h for profiles) and materials processed and comes with the EXcPRO XPT control system.
