Arburg, a German based injection molding machine maker, is continuing to enhance and expand its electric Alldrive machine series in a logically consistent manner.

At the 2009 Technology Days, which were held from March 19 to 21 at Arburg’s Lossburg base, visitors were presented with two new sizes, which are a natural extension to the Allrounder A series at both ends of the size spectrum. This further broadens the range of applications for these energy-efficient electric machines, and makes the entire series even more flexible in its scope.

The new Allrounder 270 A is the smallest size in Arburg’s range of electric machines. This model has a distance between tie bars of 270 x 270 millimeters, a clamping force of 350 kN and size 70 injection unit with a maximum shot weight of 21 g of PS.
At the upper end of the machine scale, customers will find the Allrounder 720 A, another new machine size. This model’s impressive specifications include: a maximum clamping force of 3,200 kN and a size 800 injection unit, which offers a maximum shot weight of 434 g of PS. With this machine, large molds can now also be used on the Allrounder A.

The expansion of the Allrounder A series in the form of the Allrounder 720 A provides customers with larger installation dimensions for more complex molds. At the other end of the spectrum, the Allrounder 270 A, with its small size 70 injection unit, is especially suitable for the production of small and micro-components. With these two new machines, Arburg has expanded the Alldrive series at both ends of the clamping force spectrum.
