Exhibition highlights use of high-quality ‘post-consumer’ recycled plastics that directly replace virgin materials

MBA Polymers, the world-leading multinational plastics recycling company partnered with ALBIS PLASTIC on their exhibition stand at the Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing in Germany last week where they presented the environmental and economic case for plastics recycling. As a result of their existing regional partnership, both parties have agreed to broaden their cooperation to a Europe-wide supply and distribution contract.
“We were very pleased to partner ALBIS at the Fakuma show,” commented MBA’s Vice President Sales & Marketing Horst Klink. “The event has become one the most significant events for the European plastics industry and a great location to meet people in the plastics world. ALBIS represents an important strategic partnership for us and as such we were delighted to link up in this way at the exhibition.“ “We took the opportunity to explain how MBA Polymers are changing the way the world sees plastics recycling, creating highly valuable plastic resins at a significant environmental and economic benefit to our customers – all in a sustainable way,” continued Horst. “We explained that plastics are too valuable a resource to bury or burn.
So we ‘broke the code’ and developed and commercialised post-consumer recycled plastic resins that close the loop by separating plastics and other valuable resources from some of the most complex solid waste streams on the planet. We are creating post-consumer ABS, HIPS and PP grades that directly replace virgin materials.”
Bernd Sparenberg, Director of Technical Compounds of ALBIS PLASTIC commented, “As a major distributor and compounder with one of the largest plastics portfolios in the world, ALBIS represents Europe’s leading manufacturers and brands. We are proud of our partnership with MBA Polymers which demonstrates our commitment to high-quality recycled plastics one of the most important and fast developing areas in our industry overall. Increasing environmental awareness is driving our customers to look for product solutions with top-performance at lower carbon foot-print. With MBAs high-quality products and ALBIS global sales competence and sales power we will bring customer recognition and market attention for green products to much higher levels.”
