Avery Dennison Medical Solutions, a business unit of Avery Dennison Corporation and one of global leaders in adhesive technologies for medical applications, will showcase its portfolio of products that answer the needs of medical device OEMs and end-users worldwide, including surgical, wound care, ostomy and electromedical applications, at MEDTEC China 2012.
According to the company, surgical drape tapes that fill a wide range of skin adhesion needs will be showcased. They are available as bordering tapes, fenestration tapes and OP strips. The tapes can be produced with proprietary adhesives, such as Wetstick, which adheres securely to wet skin and drape material during surgery.
Other exhibits will include surgical incise films that provide breathability required for virtually any procedure. Efficient application systems, such as handling bars and adhesive-free areas, make the films easy to apply even in difficult areas. The films offer superior adhesion under moist conditions throughout the procedure.In addition, a new highly breathable and conformable medical foam tape, MED 5663U, will also be featured. The company says it offers comfortable, breathable securement andcan serve as a backing material in multiple constructions including multi-layer wound dressings.MEDTEC China 2012 will take place in Shanghai, September 26-27, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
