and Information Technology, Government of India. to reach out to industry in India and Internationally to showcase the strengths and growth of Smart Technology Industry.
*Under the aegis on SMARTecIndia 2021, ASSOCHAM and Maharastra Investment Development Corporation (MIDC) are organising a Virtual Session on “**Next Gen industrialization: Magnetic Maharashtra”** from 1200-1300 hrs, IST on
Wednesday, 15th December 2021.*
Maharashtra as we know it is a vibrant industrial economy with the largest state-economy of India boasting of a GDP of $402 billion; accounting for 14% of India’s GDP. It is a leader in manufacturing and in terms of industrial infrastructure and connectivity and hosts some of the most successful industrial clusters in India with robust connectivity of rail,
road, ports and air links. In the use of technology, their single window clearance regime, has simplified and streamlined various statutory approvals and clearances required for industries. Maharashtra has been the
leading “export-oriented state” in the country.
Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), the nodal agency between the government and industry, is a one-stop point for investor relations. It is a one-stop for all investors and provides businesses with
all infrastructure and offers a landbank of over 2.25 lakh acres and has played a critical role in developing industrial corridors, industrial estates, auxiliary and specialized infrastructure. Nearly 40,000 acres across districts and sectors of specialization of new landbank is earmarked for future development.
In this respect ASSOCHAM and MIDC are organising a Session on showcasing Maharashtra’s work and developments across the key and upcoming sectors of SMART City, SMART mobility and SMART Technology following a Panel
discussion with the leaders from these sectors to understand their vision, discuss opportunities and engage in active knowledge sharing discussion and the roadmap ahead.
