During a recent plastic products market conference held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, there are opinions made by European attendees saying the consumption of plastic products have been shifting from developed countries to other Asian countries.
For instance, there is soaring demand for plastic clothes hangers and other plastic products in Bangladesh, with market value closes to 4 billion Taka (approximately US $58 million). The Southern Asia country last year imported US$40 million of polypropylene.
It is expected that the demand for plastic products from Asia and Middle East country will growth at a rate of 6%, while in 2013, the global polypropylene production will be doubled, reaching 3.5 billion tons.
