Automotive plastic mold part supplier to add 150 jobs in county
China-based Jiangnan Mold Plastic Technology Corporation is establishing operations in Spartanburg County, investing $45 million and adding 150 jobs over the next five years.
The new plant will be located at 1000 Robinson Road in Greer and is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2017. Hiring for the 260,000-square-foot facility will also begin in the second half of 2017.
“This investment in South Carolina and in Spartanburg County will further strengthen Jiangnan’s effort to expand its global leadership role in the plastic molding industry,” said Robert Cao, Jiangnan board of directors chairman and general manager. “It is very clear to us that South Carolina is a pro-business state, and we look forward to continuing our cooperation with the state as we grow.”
Jiangan Mold Plastic Technology Corporation is one of the largest suppliers of plastic mold parts in China’s automotive industry and specializes in the development, manufacturing and sales of plastic products and high-tech molds. The company will manufacture a variety of parts and products for original equipment manufacturers and tier-one suppliers in the automotive industry, according to a release.
