Already effective since the beginning of this year, China Customs has revised the HS codes to differentiate different types of blow molding machines.
After the revision, the original HS code of 8477.3000 that represented blow molding machines in general, becomes three codes: 8477.3010 for “extrusion blow molding machine”, 8477.3020 for “injection blow molding machine” and 8477.3090 for “other blow molding machine”.
Proposed by the China Plastics Machinery Industry Association (CPMIA), the new coding system has been in force for customs declarations and clearances since this January.
