Martinson-Nicholls introduces new thermoplastic Heated Mats

Martinson-Nicholls, a floor matting company based in the US, has introduced the new residential Heated Snow Melting Mats, which

prevents snow and ice accumulation on walkways around the house.

Made of customized thermoplastic materials, the mats are portable and can be left outdoor for the entire winter, says the company.

The heated mats will generate sufficient heat to melt snow at a rate of 2″ per hour. It can be used independently or interconnected with other Heated Mats to build a system of up to 25 feet long. As the mats are built in watertight connector cables, they can be mixed and matched with other types of mats from the company with a single plug.

Every group of Residential Heated Mats requires a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) control unit to connect the system to an electrical outlet. Up to five walkway mats, 15 stair mats, or a combination (up to 15amps) can be connected on a single control unit.
