According to the Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA), the country’s export value of plastic products could reach US$1.5 billion this year.
For the first seven months, the exports of Vietnamese plastic products amounted to US$732 million, an increase of 12% to 15% compared to the same period of last year.
As said, it has been a focus for Vietnamese plastic product manufacturers to develop business in new markets such as Japan and Africa. At present, exports to Japan account for 20% to 25% of Vietnam’s total plastic product exports.
