Fecke’s background is wind energy exhibitions. He was appointed managing director of Messe Husum in 2002 and under his leadership HUSUM WindEnergy emerged as the wind sector’s international flagship event. He’s also overseen the development of the renewable energy trade fair New Energy Husum. After switching jobs to become managing director of Messe Offenburg he founded the tri-national trade fair Windenergie expo & congress.

“Wind power is faced with the challenges resulting from steadily increasing cost pressure,” says Fecke. “Automation and series production require innovation and new materials.”

The products and services on display at Composites Europe are the tools that will enable the technological and economic advancement of the wind energy industry.

Composites Europe 2014 takes place at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre in Germany on 7-9 October.
