AMI, Bristol, 08/01/14 – AMI is pleased to announce that the 11th edition of the Stretch & Film conference, will take place from 1-3 April 2014 at the Maritim Hotel in Cologne, Germany.
This well-established event regularly attracts over 150 international delegates including the key players from Europe as well as participants from Asia, North and South America and the Middle East. As well as film producers, the whole supply chain, from resin suppliers through distributors and final customers, also attend.
Consumption of stretch & shrink film is now 3 million tonnes/year in Europe. In the last 25 years it has been one of the success stories of the European plastics and packaging industry. Strong demand from consumer industries combined with a real competitive advantage against other plastics and traditional materials has resulted in rapidly increasing market demand. Also changed logistic systems and an increase in the use of printed collation shrink film for point of sale display has stimulated growth.
AMI has once again gathered a panel of experts from the industry who will discuss the main stretch applications for pallet wrap and silage wrap as well as address issues in the collation shrink, pallet shrink and the stretch hood arenas.
The conference will also give participants the opportunity to do a site visit at Headline Sponsor’s Davis Standard’s facility in Erkrath, Germany after the conference sessions on 3rd April.
