The new BOY 22E with servo-motor pump drive will make its premiere at Fakuma 2011, scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen,
Germany from October 18-22.
According to its producer, Dr Boy GmbH & Co KG, a manufacturer of injection molding machines with a clamping force below 1,000kN, the latest drive technology equipped on the 200kN BOY 22E was previously seen only in machines with clamping forces between 350kN and 900kNx. It will be producing PS airline cups with a shot weight of 10.7g and a cycle time of approximately 3.8s at Fakuma.
As introduced, the higher throughput of the servo-motor pump system on the BOY 22E provides faster and more dynamic movements. Flow and friction resistance are reduced by improved hydraulic system of the clamping unit. As a result, the dry cycle time, which is based upon the EUROMAP standard, is reduced.
Other technology such as the space-saving two-platen cantilevered clamping system and the user-friendly touch-screen Procan Alpha control are standard on the BOY 22E.
BOY will continue to manufacture the BOY 22A until further notice.
