Honda Manufacturing of Indiana LLC says it will begin its second production shift in Greensburg
October 24. The automaker is currently accepting applications for 1,000 positions online. The Greensburg plant, which produces Civic models, operates one shift with approximately 1,000 workers.
Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) announced in May that they are adding a second shift of production at its Greensburg plant, which produces the Honda Civic sedan and Civic Natural Gas vehicle. This move will create 1,000 new jobs with plant-wide second shift starting on October 24. Applications are currently being accepted through Honda’s website: www.Indiana.Honda.com.
“After nearly three years in mass production, we are thrilled to be starting a second shift,” said HMIN President Jun Nishimoto. “We are looking forward to expanding our current team with new members joining us to produce the award-winning Civic.”
Hiring at HMIN is currently underway and hiring production associates for positions for major production processes that include stamping, welding, painting, plastic injection molding, sub-assembly and final assembly operations.
Applications are accepted on-line only through Honda’s website: www.Indiana.Honda.com. Interested individuals who do not have access to a computer may contact their local Indiana Department of Workforce Development to obtain assistance in completing the on-line application process.
HMIN currently operates one shift with approximately 1,000 associates at the Greensburg plant, producing Honda Civic models. HMIN began operations in 2008 and is the newest of Honda’s fourteen manufacturing facilities in North America.
