Shunde, China-based General Extrusion Technology (GET), has received an order for a
seven-layer blown film extrusion line from Plastopil, a barrier film manufacturer in Israel, the company announced on July 19.
Jian Peng, General Manager of GET, said, “We are very pleased with Plastopil’s decision to choose GET to supply them this seven-layer blown film extrusion system. Mr Teddy Maurice, CEO of Plastopil, told me that they chose to buy from GET because of not only the price, but also GET’s expertise in advanced multi-layer blown film die and screw designs. We successfully delivered our first seven-layer blown film extrusion system in December 2010 and this is the third time for us to manufacture such a system. I think this a major breakthrough for GET and also for the Chinese extruder industry.”
This seven layer blown film system is equipped with two 60mm, four 50mm and one 40mm smooth bore extruders, a 450mm low profile spiral mandrel seven layer co extrusion die, Autoprofile air ring with 110 control zones, horizontal oscillating haul-off, all designed, manufactured and assembled by GET. The complete line control system is provided by Sysmetric of Israel and barrier gauge by Kundig of Switzerland.
Plastopil will use the new line to extrude both nylon and EVOH films with thickness ranging from 20-200um and width up to 1,600mm at an output rate of up to 300kg/h.
