The new “third generation” paint facility employs 20 robots. The upgraded facilty accomodates much larger bumpers that the previous system and eliminates manual application of paint. The gleaming, state-of-the-art line, constituted an investment of 20 million euros.

In the new line, after the bumpers come off the production line, they are washed and then flamed by robots to prepare the surface for painting. Then the bumpers go through a series of three booths to get primed, painted and varnished.
