At Arabplast 2011, the 10th Arab International Plastics & Rubber Industry Trade Show & Conference to be held from January 8-11, 2011, injection molding machine specialist Wittmann Battenfeld
will present a wide range of injection molding options to interested trade visitors under the motto of “Everything from a single source”. The biennial exhibition will be staged at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center, Dubai, UAE.
Wittmann Battenfeld’s product portfolio comprises machines with clamping forces ranging from 5 to 1,000 tons. It is now able to offer its customers turnkey solutions according to the principle of “everything from a single source”, including machines, automation systems, the entire range of peripheral equipment and tooling. Numerous peripheral appliances and robots are compactly integrated in the machine frame and can be operated via one uniform control system.
The new product generation of the PowerSeries, with EcoPower standing for all electric machines, MicroPower for micro injection molding and MacroPower for large machines, will be one of the highlights of the company. This product portfolio features high precision, compact design, maximum user-friendliness, a modular concept and high energy-efficiency. A common feature of all machines is the UNILOG B6 control system, which offers a uniform control and operation concept for easy handling of the injection molding machines, including all integrated peripheral equipment.
Wittmann Battenfeld sees particularly great potential for the EcoPower, which, thanks to its clean room-compatibility, is well suited for applications in medical technology – a future growth market in the Arabian world.
Sales prospects for the MacroPower are also expected to be promising. Interest has been shown primarily by the packaging industry, which has a strong presence in the Arabian region.
For the packaging industry, Wittmann Battenfeld offers not only the MacroPower, its hydraulic machine models of the HM series and the high-speed TM Xpress machines, but also a number of innovative process technologies. Examples of these are multi-component technology and in-mold labeling, in short, IML. As to the IML technology, not only the high-speed TM Xpress machine and the automation are supplied by Wittmann, but also the mold comes from a mold-maker owned by
Wittmann.
In terms of application technology, Wittmann Battenfeld offers innovative process technologies such as the BFMOLD variothermic technology, the In-Mold Labeling-process for the packaging industry as well as the multi-component technology.
