SYMPHONY AND ECOPOLYMERS PAVE THE WAY FOR 2013 TO BE THEIR MOST SUCCESSFUL YEAR TO DATE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
In January 2013, Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC and Eco-Polymers exhibited at the 11th ARABPLAST trade show in the UAE. This was the 4th time that they have been present at ARABPLAST, and it has proven to be a huge success. ARABPLAST is the most important exhibition for the plastics industry in the Middle East.
In addition to this market-leading d2w oxo-biodegradable plastic technology, Symphony introduced recent innovations such as d2p anti-bacterial and anti-fungal technology (a world first), d2t tracing and tagging technologies and the d2Detector. These pioneering products have generated a huge amount of interest, confirming that this year’s exhibition was the best to date. Their large and impressive Stand welcomed Royalty, Government officials, CEO’s and managers from a record number of nations from the Middle East as well as from Russia, India, Europe, Turkey, and China.
Several members of Symphony’s dedicated Middle East network of Distributors also attended the exhibition from their countries. The d2w brand has continued to spread its influence and environmentally-responsible message throughout the Middle East and the wider world, generating public awareness and commercial interest. The Minister of Economy for the UAE, His Excellency, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri visited Symphony’s Stand and expressed keen interest in the new d2p anti-fungal plastic technology and its potential to extend the shelf-life of perishable foods, especially bakery and dairy products.

At a gala dinner Symphony’s CEO Michael Laurier was presented with an award for Symphony’s support for supply and innovation services. Mr Laurier said: “We are delighted to receive such high recognition and to work on further development of our products. We are very proud of our distribution network and the support that we receive from our distributor-companies on a daily basis”. He also congratulated the Fujairah Plastic factory, Symphony’s largest customer in the region, for receiving an award from His Excellency, Dr. Rashid bin Fahad, the Minister of Environment and Water, for being a pioneer of the best environmental practices.
